We want to welcome and introduce our newest ADKF Family Members, Tax Interns: Hannah Nelson and Diego Hernandez; Audit Senior, Ana Otero; and Administration: Yesenia Leonel and Yvonne Stout.
TAX INTERNS
Hannah Nelson is at ADKF on her second internship. Her first internship as Tax Administrative Intern was cut short due to COVID-19. However, during that time she was able to learn a lot about the processes of the ADKF Tax Department. Hannah will be graduating from the University of Incarnate Word (UIW,) with her Master of Accountancy in May of 2021. Prior to coming to ADKF, Hannah had done tax return preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and was an assistant to the Controller of UIW. Hannah’s goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA.) Hannah’s hobbies include working out and trying new restaurants. During this, her second ADKF internship, she will work in both the Tax and Tax Controversy Departments. She is excited to be here and ready to expand her knowledge in tax return preparation. Diego Hernandez got his Master of Accountancy from the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA,) this past May with a concentration in taxation. His goal is to become a CPA and is currently studying for the exam. Before coming to ADKF, Diego had done three internships, two at public accounting firms and one at a bank. During the banking internship, he gained some light experience in trusts; while the internships at the two public accounting firms helped him gain experience in business and personal tax filings. He too is excited to be with us and ready to face the upcoming tax deadlines. He is looking to gain experience in a wide variety of returns to build his skillset. Currently, his hobby is studying for the CPA exam. Follow Diego on LinkedIn
