Scott Cecil Kopecky, stated at ADKF as a tax staff accountant in 1997. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. As a young, energetic accountant, with previous public accounting experience he joined the ADKF team of less than 15 staff members. He worked hard and was promoted to senior, manager and then partner. Now Scott manages a tax team of over 30 employees and is proud to be a partner at San Antonio’s largest locally owned accounting firm. Scott’s experience includes individual, corporate, partnership and trust income taxation, small business accounting and auditing. He specializes in automobile dealerships, general construction, manufacturing, not-for profit, multi-state corporations/operations, closely-held corporations, family financial planning, restaurant accounting and taxation, and international tax issues. Representation before the IRS and State taxing agencies including technical support and coordination of issues for various individual and business examinations. Scott works closely with individuals and family groups in structuring financial plans to meet financial goals. Start-ups and emerging businesses, partnerships, joint ventures and S-corporations GAAP and tax basis financial statements. His securities and exchange experience includes initial public offerings on Form SB-2, and periodic reporting on Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K. He has been exposed to various issues affecting SEC registered companies with respect to federal tax consequences, disclosures and reporting. He is a member of American Institute of CPA’s, Texas Society of CPA’s, San Antonio CPA Society, Leukemia Society of America- Past Treasurer and North San Antonio Chamber Board Member. He is married to Lisa Kopecky and has two boys, Michael and Evan. He enjoys auto crossing, and softball. When you see Scott please help us in congratulating and celebrating a huge milestone for him.
