This year, ADKF was excited to be a sponsor of the St. Nicholas Ball, thrown by the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of San Antonio, Inc., on December 7, 2019. The Ball was held at the luxurious JW Marriott Hill Country Resort & Spa. There was live entertainment from the Children’s Ballet of San Antonio, who performed an edited version of the classic Nutcracker, fine dining and spirits, a live band, and a live and silent auction for items such as signed movie posters, signed sports memorabilia, concerts, vacations, jewelry, clothing, and much more. The charity hosts the ball to foster the mission of Catholic Charities. The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of the community through selfless service under the sign of love. The vision of Catholic Charities is to comfort, care, and advocate for all people in crisis by strengthening the vulnerable and promoting self-sufficiency. Through all their programs, their daily activities are intended to lift a person out of crisis, encounter them in Christ, and accompany them on their journey to wholeness.
